- Pay Per Click

The advertising model of "bidding" on space online for your ads. Usually you have two options: 1. To pay a certain amount each time someone clicks on your ad - or - 2. Pay each time your ad just shows up (called impressions). Traditionally pay per click is when you pay only when someone clicks on your ad. You set a daily budget and once that budget is reached the ad shuts off and doesn't show. An acronym for Pay Per Click is PPC.
